Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Jenny Tews, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I have been part of the Anthem School community for several years and am proud to teach in such a wonderful school.
I have worked with children for more than 20 years in a variety of educational settings. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University and my Master's degree in Literacy from the American College of Education. I also hold a K–8 Reading Specialist Endorsement from the State of Arizona. Helping students develop a love of reading and learning is one of my greatest passions.
My husband, Andy, and I have been married for over 20 years and have four wonderful children. Our family also includes three lovable dogs, Charlie, Finn, and Nellie, who keep us laughing every day! When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, spending time at the beach, traveling, and making memories with my family and friends.
I believe that every child can learn, grow, and succeed in a supportive classroom where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to do their best. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students are challenged, celebrated, and inspired to become confident learners. Building strong partnerships with families is an important part of that journey, and I look forward to working together to make this a wonderful year for your child.
